Metolius Golf has been named a Key Partner of the Golf Business Technology Conference (GBTC) 2026, taking place May 5–7 at the Merchant Hotel in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The event brings together global leaders, innovators, and golf course operators for three days of education, networking, and forward-looking conversation about the technology transforming the golf industry.

Why GBTC 2026

The Golf Business Technology Conference has quickly become one of the most important gatherings in the global golf technology ecosystem. Unlike regional events that tend to focus on a single market, GBTC draws operators and technology providers from across Europe, North America, and beyond, creating a uniquely international perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.

For Metolius Golf, participating as a Key Partner reflects the company’s growing international footprint and its commitment to being part of the conversations that shape how golf facilities operate worldwide. With more than 600 course partners around the globe, Metolius’s work increasingly extends beyond the U.S. market—and GBTC is where much of the international golf technology community convenes.

What to Expect at GBTC 2026

The 2026 conference features more than 50 industry experts and thought leaders, with keynotes, panels, and workshops covering topics from AI and automation to digital transformation, customer engagement, and the future of golf operations. Karen Lyttle, Director of Technology at The R&A, is delivering the opening keynote on leading technology transformation for The Open and AIG Women’s Open—a signal of the caliber of conversation attendees can expect.

Metolius’s presence at the conference will focus on the themes that define our work: how operators can use data consolidation and automation to run more efficient, profitable, and customer-centric facilities. We’ll be sharing insights from our work with courses and clubs across multiple markets and exploring how the tools and strategies that have proven effective in one context can be adapted for others.

The Global Golf Technology Conversation

One of the things that makes GBTC valuable is the diversity of perspectives it brings together. Golf operations look different in Scotland than they do in Arizona, and the technology solutions that work for a 36-hole municipal complex in the U.S. may need to be adapted for a links course in Ireland or a resort property in Continental Europe. These are the kinds of nuanced conversations that happen when the global community comes together in one room.

At the same time, there are universal challenges that transcend geography: the need for better data, more efficient operations, smarter marketing, and deeper customer engagement. These are the problems Metolius was built to solve, and we’re looking forward to exploring how our platform and expertise can serve an increasingly global audience.
